Our neighbor
Central a family owned business for over 10 years, is nestled in the heart of Astoria on famous Steinway Street. Originally named Hallets Cove in the mid 1800's this little country village fast became a recreational destination and resort for Manhattan's elite. After Steven Halsey, a fur merchant, much needing money to further develop it, named it after the prominent John Jacob Astor, calling it Astoria.
